JuneBrain Inc. is recruiting an innovative Lead Electrical Engineer with a passion for positively impacting patient lives. This individual will help develop an impactful OCT imaging device, including assisting with the design, fabrication, and testing of the device, clinical imaging studies, and analyzing and interpreting collected data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Configure and manage power supply systems for device towers and ensure optimal performance and safety

  • Create and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet design specifications and performance standards

  • Manage and organize cable systems for optimal layout and accessibility within device assemblies

  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and device reliability

  • Produce engineering drawings that appropriately capture the design intent with the appropriate views, dimensions, and tolerancing (as well as notes for suppliers and revision control)

  • Perform calculations and simulations to verify the system design meets the specifications

  • Design and execute testing protocols against standards to validate the prototypes and developed systems, including device safety, accuracy, and repeatability

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve device, subassembly, and component issues

  • Work with the Product Manager and manufacturing teams to assess and integrate user feedback into the device design

  • Support software developers as needed with hardware-software integration efforts

  • Participate in R&D efforts, including working with the Clinical Research Coordinator to help with the design and setup of usability studies and troubleshooting device issues during the studies


Required Skill Set


  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • 1 year of experience in circuit board experience

  • SolidWorks and prototyping techniques (e.g., CNC machining and 3D printing)

  • C/C++ programming


Desired Knowledge


  • Experience developing optical imaging systems (e.g., OCT) and/or working with fiber optics

  • Experience with wearables

  • Experience with medical device regulations and quality management systems (GMP and ISO 13485 training)

  • Experience in industrial design
